About Us
Breast Friends mission is to ensure that no one goes through breast cancer alone. Through community, connection and education individuals can get connected to others who understand. Some of the programs that are offered are:
Peer Mentoring – Connecting individuals with trained mentors who have experienced breast cancer firsthand.
Support Groups – Providing a safe and welcoming environment for connection, encouragement, and shared experiences.
Educational Workshops – Offering information on topics such as treatment, survivorship, wellness, and breast health.
Wellness Programs – Including yoga, movement classes, creative arts, retreats, and other activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
Latina Outreach and Underserved Community Programs – Expanding access to culturally relevant support, education, and resources.
Financial Assistance – Providing gas and grocery gift cards to help ease the burden of treatment-related expenses.
Community Outreach and Breast Health Education – Raising awareness about early detection and breast health through presentations, health fairs, and programs such as Know Your Lemons.
Each year, Breast Friends impacts thousands of lives across Oregon and Southwest Washington by creating a community of hope, support, and connection for those affected by breast cancer.
Our Vision:
To create a relevant and inclusive community where everyone diagnosed with breast cancer receives the support, education, and connection they need throughout their journey.
